This machined bobbin has a hardened steeltip insert and countersunk feed that willallow thread to glide through the tube forthreading and tying. The drag control has alarge adjustment zone for fine tuningthread tension to your personal like.

I have not tried this product ,I do think it,s great ideal how often have I had to rewind a bobbin while crafting a magical fly.

I have used this style (brand) of bobbin for 12 months now. For light threads [3/0] I have found this to be fantastic. The tension is manually and simply adjustable. When you pull a little too much on a 10/0 to 14/0 thread the bobbin can be adjusted to release rather than break. Outstanding for very small flies/light thread.
The construction is very sturdy (much much better than other similar styles of bobbin). the only disadvantage is it is a little slow to load with new thread. I have purchased 4 and loaded them with my most commonly used threads to over come this issue.

All other bobbins pale in comparison. The adjustable tension means never breaking your tread again. I have 2 standard and one large model and will probably try the short one as well.
