The Ray Bergman Collection – 83) Critchley Hackle
Ray Bergman Collection — By HatchesMagazine on February 10, 2011 1:47 pm
Tail: Yellow quill sections
Ribbing: Gold tinsel
Body: Yellow floss
Hackle: Pale yellow and grizzly mixed *
Wing: None
* The Critchley Hackle is rather unique in that it is one of a small number of flies with two colors of a hackle collar at the head. These should be tied in together but wound one at a time, one full wrap of each hackle for best results. And being wingless; the Critchley Hackle is actually a two-feather soft-hackled wet fly.
