Butt: Peacock herl *
Ribbing: None
Body: Pale yellow floss
Hackle: Brown

* Another fly with a peacock herl butt. Incidentally, the best peacock herl butts are made from the peacock barbs up close to the eye where the fibers, also called barbules, are longer and possess more pronounced curvature. Also, for butts of peacock and ostrich herl, the stem should be tied in so that the nap of the herl cups toward the rear of the hook. This produces the best appearance.
