We recently solicited our GreenCaddis fly box customers for photos showing how they are putting their fly boxes to use. We are excited by the response that we have received and decided to open up to all of our readers. Send us photos of some of your fly boxes full of flies along with a detailed description of the flies and if your fly box appears on the Hatches website we will send you a complimentary GreenCaddis fly box. Send all fly box photos and descriptions to firstname.lastname@example.org
Attached please find my Green Caddis fly box full of patterns from Charlie Craven’s “Basic Fly Tying: Modern Techiniques for Flies that Catch Fish.”
The patterns are: Brassie, Black Beauty, RS2, Gold-Ribbed Hare’s Ear Nymph, Pheasant Tail Nymph, and David Camiss’ Cat’s Wisker (from YouTube, left side lower right), and Diawl Bach (right side, lower right). Took up tying (and fly fishing) last year to supply me and my two sons with flies. Thanks to Hatches’ Green Caddis boxes, I think we can afford this sport.
Enclosed you will find 2 pair photos of my fly boxes. One pair of photos is of various nymphs: on the top of the left side are a variety of Czech nymphs (various sizes and colors) and at the bottom are scuds and cress bugs (various sizes and colors). The right side of the box is a variety of vinyl nymphs in various sizes and colors. The second pair of photos is of various types of elk hair caddis patterns dry flies, there are more caddis patterns on the other side of the insert and box (not visible in photo). I hope these photos are of good enough quality.
I have purchased quite a few of your fly boxes for myself and as gifts for my daughter and son in law. We all think the boxes are terrific and so are the prices…keep up the good work!!! You have three very satisfied customers that really will put your fly boxes to good use.
