Roadtrip! We headed out for one last fly fishing trip this fall, hitting up some new-to-us Montana waters in search of big trout. We can’t say where, as we made some promises, but let’s just say these are upper upper Mississippi River spots.

In southern Sweden, the peak of dryfly fishing is in June and the big Ephemera Danica is on the trout’s menu.
However, in our narrow minds, it took us some time to understand that the trouts are both lazy and efficient creatures that sometimes want another snack.

Nice work guys. I would have guessed spring creeks in Wisconsin until I read that you’re fishing in Sweden. Beetles work everywhere! Thanks for the video.

Huge browns that don’t fight in a stream way to small to support such fish? = pellet fed hatchery fish.

@Dan snus IS from Sweden. The net will be changed.

@Ed Janiga We are happy to still have good conditions for wild fish here. Like these surprisingly big trout in this small river. But yes, they don’t fight very hard. Don’t know why.
