Hancock, NY, — “Come Hell or High Water” in it’s 3rd year is an annual fly fishing festival and film
tour hosted at West Branch Angler. The idea is to bring new people into the sport, celebrate the Catskills,
the beginning of spring and a new fly fishing season. We have been working closely with the major fly
fishing manufacturers and local business’s to bring something for everyone. The expo is free to the public
and an event you won’t want to miss. This is years efforts will benefit Project Healing Water, Friends of
the Upper Delaware River (FUDR) and Trout Unlimited.
Highlighted events for April 14th:
Learn to Fly Fish for Free Fly Fishing 101 and 201 Classes: This is an amazing program put on by the
Orvis company learn to fly fish with a professional instructor completely free. If you have done the 101
class you can also check out the 201 class which gives you more advanced tools and fishing techniques.

The Fly Fishing Film Tour F3T: In just it’s sixth year, The Fly Fishing Film Tour has become the fishing
entertainment event of the year and will showcase some of the best independent outdoor film makers. The
goal of the Fly Fishing Film Tour is to energize the industry and inspire film makers to create new cutting
edge films to both entertain and educate outdoor enthusiasts. All silent auction proceeds will go to benefit
Project Healing Waters. The show will be held April 14th a 7:00pm
The 1 s t Annual Fly Games & East Coast Guide Showdown : Brand new to Hell or High Water this year are
the 1st annual “Fly Games”. The Fly Games are a series of events which will pin competitors against each
other in games of fly fishing skill. Events such as the The Scientific Angler & Winston BIIIx Fly High
Jump will have a general public and pro guide league. Contestants will receive great prizes as well as a
chance at the coveted gold trout trophy for 1st place.
Paul Weamer’s Truform Mayflies: Paul Weamer will be putting on a terrific PowerPoint presentation where
he will explain and demonstrate the use of his Truform Hook design. He will also go over tying a few of his
Free Hardy Reel Maintenance: John Shaner of Hardy USA and resident Hardy expert will be set up at the
fly shop with a work-bench where he can clean and lubricate reels as well as answer any questions
regarding the history of Hardy products.
Delaware River Mayflies: Resident West Branch Angler guide and photo expert will present his wonderful
photographic overview of the different major mayfly species associated with the Delaware River System.
This is a presentation for all skill levels and one not to miss!!
Loren Williams Presents “Fly Fishing in Spite of Her”: Let’s face it, we all need to fish. The trouble is that
we have minimal time to entertain our addiction. While we can set aside time, and plan the location that
best suits our schedule, we cannot control what SHE (Mother Nature) does. Join me, as I offer some hope
with methods and techniques to salvage our precious fishing time despite what SHE throws our way.
