The Wedding Veil – by GSF Fly Tying

The Wedding Veil was created by Thomas Harvey of Carolina Fly. This pattern utilizes a few newer products out there and will definitely be a great addition to any bass or striper fly fisherman’s box out here on the west coast. Smaller versions can also be tied for trout and I’m already thinking about using a few of the techniques featured here for steelhead swing patterns.

Definitely going to be tying a few of these up for over here in the UK with some size and colour variations for both Trout and Pike.

I tye a simular pattern but I waste a lot of material with my method. I am going to use this one to get a full body on my flies. Nice pattern.

Looks like an Ehler’s Lazer Minnow with dumbbell eyes and a sparkle brush body. Same feather tail, same veil.

Yes, I agree with Chris Watson’s comment. It does look an interesting pattern and suitable for Pike or other predatory fish in UK waters. I can see some interesting variations with other colours.
Pity about the music, but there is always the Mute button.
