What is the bead handling trick in this video? Is that velcro on the tongue blade?

Smart move with the easy hold to conserve and handle wire weight. Great all round nymph that should catch fish anywhere and anytime. Thanks for another high quality video–best in the business if you ask me.

Kevin that isost likely a piece of magnet glued to the end of the tongue blade at least that’s the way I have seen it done.

It is actually a popsicle stick with a strip of magnet glued to one end and strip of velcro (the hook side of the velcro) glued to the other. No fly tying bench should be without one.

Great fly! Question though – where is the stripe

I no longer include the stripe as I found no difference in performance with or without. Saves a tying step.
