Fly Fishing the Soca River Slovenia with Lotte Aulom

Easter Saturday we packed rods, reels and camera. We traveled from cold and snowy Norway to Slovenia. We have been there before, but not had any contact with the slovenian marble trout. This time it was only one goal for the trip.. To get a marble on dry fly.

A short recap from our recent trip to beautiful Slovenia and the Soca valley. As the title says, sometimes you win, and sometimes the fish wins. Anyway, this doesn’t really matter. Lovely landscapes, spectacular rivers and friendly people make up for the fact that I lost a LOT of fish this time. Love it! A good place to be, even when the fish is winning!
