Hook: Size 1 Mustad 3366
Thread: Tan 140 Ultrathread and GSP
Underskirt: Tan and White Bucktail
Tail: Brown and Grizzly Hackles
Flash: Flashabou
Topping: Peacock Herl
Colar: Brown Hackle
Head: Natural, Olive and Black Deer Hair
Eyes: Dolleyes

Tie in a small clump of white bucktail followed by a small clump of Tan bucktail towards the rear of the hook. Tie in the flash material on the sides then tie the hackles alternating between brown and grizzly until tail looks full. I aranged the hackles to flair out more vertically for a taller profile in the water. Add the peacock herl up top when the profile has been acheived. Next, spin on a good amount of natural deer hair until a base layer is established. Then stack in a pencil sized diameter of olive deer hair on top of the hook after making room for it in the natural clump spun on. After the olive goes on, seperate an gap to stack in a smaller diameter of black deer hair. Pack as tightly as you can the spin on more natural deer hair and repeat the stacking process with the other colors. Follow that up spinning on more natural deer hair until you can’t put any more on the hook. Trim the head like you would a slider then take a razor blade and shave off the sides. Tie in the colar on behind the head and glue on the eyes.
