Hook: Your favorite standard dry fly hook
Thread: To match
Body: Antron, Z-lon, Darlon, Permatron, etc, tan or other
Wing: Woodchuck Tail
Hackle: Mixed brown grizzly, or other appropriate color.
To form body, secure length of yarn and twist tightly prior to winding along shank. Body will occupy 3/4 shank.
Woodchuck tail hair has great sheen and barring, with just enough body and stiffness to make a nice wing. Guard hair taken from the body also be used but is noticeably different.
