Tie on the butt with the peacoc herl then add wings.

Mallard wing, black thread, peacok hearl
Use peacok herl to tie but then fill in the body with thread. Tie in the wings and rap a neat head.

chenille, 3/0 thread to match the chenille and a bait hook
size 12-4.
Tie in chenille and rap 1 1/2 times around. Tie off and put head cement.
