Hackle: Hen, purple / crimson
Dubbing: Wapsi Super fine midge red

1 / 1.5 turns of hackle.
Silk is lightly dubbed and then wound as rib.

Thorax: Hot pink dubbing
Hackle: Hot Pink Hen

Silk wound up to form the rib.

Hen hackle tied in by the stem.

Simple Starling (red) »

Hook: Jardine red #16
Thread: Pearsall’s yellow
Hackle: Starling

With this pattern, regardless of the hook, I like sometimes like a little dubbed rabbit through the silk.
