Pros
This is a great vise for bass bug and saltwater tying. It does lack in the Salmon fly arena however. While the rotary feature is nice for winding stuff onto the hook, when it comes to winging the fly, the arm is in the way. I have put quite a few flies through mine (commercially) and am currently on my second set of jaws. I could not tell anyone not to buy this vise.

Cons
Salmon flies

Pros
This is a fantastic vise, especially for someone who fishes in a wide range of situations - heavy saltwater to very small creeks. The hook holding power is fantastic, and the range of hook sizes you can set without changing jaws set it appart from other true rotary vises. This tool is a joy to work with

Cons
The time required to find the perfect fit for each size hook is a bit daunting at first.

Pros
I tie both for myself and commercially on the same vise and rarely am left wanting for a feature. This vise has accomodated every hook size for me from 4/0 saltwater on down to 32 dries. I have owned a number of vises ad found that this vise is heads above the rest.

Cons
For someone with big hands, like me, it can occasionally be tough to secure items to the back of hooks size 22 and smaller due to the positioning of the jaws with respect to the arm.

Pros
Simply put this is the finest in-line rotary vise available. It holds any hook of any size with the use of two sets of jaws. Functional, beautiful, and well made.

Cons
I did not like the stick handle so purchased the wheel like on the Side-winder before there was a Signature version. Now it is perrrfect.

Pros
While just getting into tying i've tried quite a few vises prior to my purchases and stuck with the Barracuda. I wanted a vise that could give my daughters and I the ability to tie right or left handed, which I got since it's fully ambidextrous. Plus, and comparing to others i've tried, hook holding strength is second to none and with tying from a 3/0 to a 22 not one slip.
I'm very happy with it and would recommend to anyone looking for a new vise.

Cons
Could use a better turning handle for a smoother rotary action.

Pros
Most versatile Vise I've ever owned
All adjustments are easy to set & control
Great locking cam
Excellent clamp which I prefer to a base
Best hook holding power
Most adaptable, different jaws, extension arm, thread holder etc.

Cons
Not the best to travel with
The stick handle used to rotate flies could be improved (as it is with a few other models)

Pros
Good all around vise could be better.

Cons
Hard to get good secure grip to hooks. With big hands it's hard to attach material to back of hook ( tails, tinsel, etc. )

Pros
Solid and hefty! I am a "heavy-handed" tyer and rest a lot on the vise; the Barracuda is rock solid in both the C-clamp and pedestal mounts. The rotary function is exceptional for winding body materials, ribs, and for viewing the off-side for symmetry. My ‘Cuda is 7 years old and I have tied several thousand flies with it; use both the regular and midge jaws.

Cons
It is a bit heavy for a travel vise. A little more room for small hooks(22-26) would be nice - perhaps a reworked midge jaw that gives a bit more space for thread work.

Pros
A good alround vice which will happily tie a range of flies with the standard jaws. The midge jaws will take you right down in size to micro patterns. Good rotary action, easy to set resistance so you can hold the fly in any of the 360 degrees of it's axis.

Cons
Sometimes it can be difficult to get the hook properly set in the jaws, but it hold well enough when you have. Heavy base.

Pros
This is a great vise to tie anything from saltwater flies to trout flies. once the jaw is set properly, the hook will be securely lock in place. The hook holding ability is amazing. My jaw first jaw that comes with the vise was only serrated on one side. I called Dyna king and they send me a replacement right away. They have proved to stand behind their product. I will definite do business with them again.

Cons
little pricy
