2009 Fly Fishing Blog Awards, Part II

27 February 2009 No Comment
Today we wrap up our first annual Fly Fishing Blog Awards(Part I).  In only one day of existence, this award has already been dubbed by millions as the most prestigious award in fly fishing.

“Best New Blog”

The award for Best New Blog goes to…The Big Pull written by Ryan Peterson.  There are  plenty of good reasons to read this blog if you’re not already.

“Best Specialty Blog”

Specialty blogs are those ones where the bulk of the content is centered around one particular place or thing, such as this year’s winner, The Fiberglass Manifesto.

“That Dude’s Got Game”

This award goes to the blogger who has consistently brought stellar writing to our monitors throughout the year, aka, Best Writer.  This year’s winner is… The Neil Creek Chronicles

“Best Photography”

This year’s winner for best photography may stir up a little controversy, as the winner isn’t quite a blog, however, we feel that once you click the winner’s name, you’ll give the man his due.  The winner is… Matt Schliske of Schliske bamboo fly rods

“Reader’s Choice”

Before we finish this off by announcing the 2009 Fly Fishing Blog of the Year, we wanna know what you think;  did we get this right, or is there a fly fishing blog out there more deserving of one of these 11 awards?   If you think so, leave a link to their blog in the comments section below, along with what award you believe they should have won.

“Fly Fishing Blog of the Year”

I’m very pleased to announce that the 2009 Fly Fishing Blogger of the Year is Keith Barton, writer of the Singlebarbed Blog.  Day, (after day, after day…after day) Keith finds a way to bring quality content to our RSS readers. Congrats to all the winners, your prizes are in the mail…
