I finished my freshman year of college about an hour ago. I’ve got all sorts of stuff on my mind; so much that I can’t really think straight. This must be what ADD is like.

I’m excited to announce that fishing guide, April Vokey has joined forces with the Hatches Blog Network. And let me tell you fellas something, this one is for real.

Ya see, after watching the real mice swim in Once in a Blue Moon I realized that I’ve been fishing my mice all wrong. Yeah, I’d get bit every now and then; but not nearly as often as I did on Friday night after making some adjustments to my retrieve. Both my son and I gasped and laughed at some of the toilet bowl flushes under my fly.

I think my passion for throwing streamers can be linked back to my days of fishing with spinning gear. So since the streamer bite is on fire right now on rivers all across the country, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites.
