Got out yesterday for a long walk with The Legend. Nice day throwing buggers on on some local ditches.
I sent the bugger across the flow and stripped it through across the eddy, the fish flashed once, porpoised on the fly and missed, I took 2 more strips and connected.
The fish sounded and felt like it wrapped me…turns out, it was just the fish sitting on the bottom. It took some line but with 3x tippet, really had nowhere to go. After a good tugowar, we had him in the net.
