Made it out Sunday in search of some hatches. With all of the summer like temps I had a feeling something was going to be happening somewhere. Well bugs, bugs and more bugs were happening. There were lots of stone flies, crane flies but the mayflies brought the fish up and thats what I wanted to see. What a blast to actually dry fly fish for wild troots after sooooo long. The spot, fishes like a mini Delaware, long casts, sporadic risers, tricky currents and some nice browns to be had.
Someones been here before me, small bobcat tracks.
Closely followed by the star of the show.
Fish aren’t the only ones who like flies.
First fish on a dry, a chunky brown that was munching hard.
Managed one other and lost a smaller fish.
